  My family and I visited this place when while staying in a nearby hotel and it we had a great experience.
  
  We got the pad thai, red curry, and pork basil fried rice. First things first, the portions are so big. For a good entree price, the portion is forsure 2x that of Thai restaurants in the bay area.
  
  The quality is not lacking either. I found all the dishes very well cooked and they are also very generous in the amount of ingredients in each dish.
  
  The waitresses were kind and checked up on us twice, which is pretty rare at asian restaurants. Overall we left full and happy that we stumbled on this hidden gem

  Bangkok is one of those hidden gems in Merced that you wouldn't think would have good Thai food. And to be honest, it even looks sketchy from the outside cause there's literally a giant white wall that is basically the restaurant from the get-go.
  
  I've honestly wanted to try this place for a while because of all the good reps it gets compared to the other Thai food places here. And lemme just tell you first that their portion sizes are pretty huge for what you get! I got their pad thai and it was so flavorful! Compared to other places like Thai Cuisine or HK Lounge, this was definitely my favorite. You even have the option of choosing your spice levels ranging from 1-10 as well.
  
  I really liked their chicken larb as well. You definitely have the zingy tanginess you get from the lime and the toppings really makes this dish refreshing to eat as an appetizer.
  
  Overall, I was very satisfied. For Merced standards at least, this Thai place is most definitely one of the better ones. The service was good and the food was quite satisfying as well!

  Ended up here after discovering our favorite Chinese place next door had been closed. This turned out to be a happy alternative. Dining room is pretty big and mostly empty when we got there so we got seated immediately.
  
  I ordered the two things you judge any Thai place by: Thai tea and pad thai. I enjoyed both although I think the tea was just a little over sweet but that might just me my personal taste. Pad Thai was yummy and it was a heaping portion. I still got to take a good chunk of it home to have later. Overall enjoyed. I think it just became the new One Token Restaurant We Stop At in Merced

  We were in the area and ordered to go since it was getting late on Labor Day evening.  First surprise was they were open for dinner.  Ordered yellow curry fresh tofu with mixed veggies, and chicken pad Thai.  Called them about 10 minutes ahead and the food was ready to go when arrived.  The taste was very good for both dishes.  The taste was authentic!  We've been to Thai restaurants in other cities and this one was within top 3.  I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

  Might have great food. But from the street it looks like an empty place. Couple of places to eat?  We passed.
